The Importance of Using Appropriate Language: Sharing Information on the R-Word

Since its inception, the Coordinating Center has promoted using people first and appropriate language to describe individuals with special needs.  We encourage everyone, not just co-workers, to be respectful of people who need care coordination and other community resources to stay well and independent at home.
